HOPE
I was inspired by my fellow designer, Ramalakshmi Pasumarthy, to design my own crochet flower. I knew it just had to be named "HOPE" 💖
This pattern works well with any yarn or thread with a compatable sized hook
These are the 4 colours I used in the photo above

Colour (A) = Cream
Colour (B) = Dark Purple
Colour (C) = Light Purple
Colour (D) = White
1. With Colour (A),
make a magic ring,
Chain 1 and make 12 Half Double Crochet into the ring,
join by making a Slip Stitch into the 1st Half Double Crochet.
Cut thread/yarn and fasten off

2. With Colour (B),
make a Standing Single Crochet into any Half Double Crochet, *Chain 3, Skip the next Half Double Crochet, Single Crochet into the next Half Double Crochet*, repeat between * * 5 more times, Chain 3 and join by making a Slip Stitch into the 1st Single Crochet

3. With the same Colour,
*(Single Crochet, 4 Double Crochet, Chain 1 and Slip Stitch into the lat Double Crochet made, 3 Double Crochet, Single Crochet) all into the next Chain 3 space*. repeat between * * 5 more times, join my making a Slip Stitch into the 1st Single Crochet.
Cut thread/yarn, and fasten off

4. With Colour (C),
Make a Standing Single Crochet into the Back Loop of any SKIPPED Half Double Crochet from Round 1, * Chain 1, Skip the next Round 1 Half Double Crochet {already used in Round 2} and make a Single Crochet into the Back Loop of the next Round 1 Half Double Crochet* repeat between * * 5 more times, Chain 1 and join with a Slip Stitich into the 1st Single Crochet

5. With the same Colour,
Chain 1 and Make a Single Crochet in the 1st Single Crochet, *(3 Double Crochet, Chain 1 Slip Stitch into the last Double Crochet made, 2 Double Crochet) all into the next Chain 1 space, Single Crochet into the next Single Crochet*, repeat between * * 5 more times - omitting the last Single Crochet, joi by making a Slip Stitch into the 1st Single Crochet.
Cut thread/yarn, and fasten off

TIPS: Pinch and pull the Chain 1 "tips" of each petal. Push each Round 6 chain 1 behind the Popcorns to make them "pop"

6. With Colour (D),
make Standing Double Crochet into any unworked Front Loop of Round 1, make 3 more Double Crochet into the same Front Loop, drop the loop and insert the hook into the 1st Double Crochet and pull dropped loop through - creating 1st Popcorn, *Chain 1, Skip the next Round 1 Half Double Crochet {already used in Round 2} and make a Popcorn in the next unused Front Loop of Round 1*, repeat between * * 5 more times, Chain 1 and join by making a Slip Stitch in to the 1st Popcorn.
Cut thread/yarn, and fasten off
